It had been raining all week. Even as I pulled up to The Brix Hotel in St Anns where Karen and Ravaal were getting ready (in separate rooms with their friends of course). This is the risk of having a Trinidad wedding in the rainy season – there’s always the possibility of rain blessings. But thankfully, we got the perfect overcast day ( a photographer’s win!!) and their wedding day was everything they imagined!
Veronique’s home in Trinidad was the perfect place for their intimate wedding. The outdoor ceremony was held beneath the large trees, which perfectly matched the white and green, classic decor.
Their families were so easy with portraits, we have family photos done in record time before sneaking away for their time. I encourage my clients, even where there a smaller weddings, to find a nearby place that we can run away – to catch their breath and truly savour their love that they’ve just committed to! After our portraits, we headed to the Queen’s Park Savannah for the newlyweds to enjoy a cold coconut water.
The day ended with a handful of speeches filled with laughter and a few tears. Of course followed by dancing the night away & shots passing on the dance floor!
Have a look at some of my favourite moments from their day at Veronique’s on Mary Street, Trinidad.
