First things first, pick a space where you feel at ease. Whether it’s your own home or a family home that holds special memories, the location should be somewhere you feel comfortable. Elise and Ross chose a close friend’s home, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! It’s a space that reflects who they are, which made the session feel natural and genuine.

Timing is Everything: Lighting Tips

Lighting plays a huge role in how your photos turn out! Natural light is your best friend for an at-home session, so it’s important to think about the time of day. Morning or late afternoon typically offers the best light - soft, warm and so flattering. For Elise and Ross, we found the sweet spot where the light poured through their windows just right.

Explore Different Spot in your Home

Don’t feel like you have to stick to one room! Move around and explore different areas of your home. Each spot can offer a new vibe. Elise and Ross started off inside this home, then headed outside for some romantic photos on their balcony and in their pool! Each spot brought out a different side to their personalities.
