Marriage Proposal at North Deck - Rajiv and Alexa

Rajiv contacted a few months ago and told me the big news - he was going to propose to his girlfriend Alexa. She’s a bombshelllll , but you’ll see that in the pictures.

I was so excited, you’d swear I was getting engaged. We went into full planning mode. Initially, Rajiv wanted a spot by the ocean and we went back and forth on several ideas and locations, even making a visit to one. But with the rainy season in full swing in Trinidad, the outdoor setup was stressing us tf out!

That’s when I suggested, a few days before the proposal that he check out North Deck. It’s one of my favourite spots in Paramin and boy you cannot beat the panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea. You’re surrounded by all the lush trees of the Northern Range and seriously feel like you’re in a jungle paradise. Which well, we are!!

Luckily, North Deck was free and the plan was back in motion. With a covered area, we knew the weather didn’t matter - it was just to finalise the details.

I got there a bit before and got to witness the final set up before our plan was a go!

The amount of thought that was put into this just tells me how much Rajiv loves Alexa and how adored she will be.

I could barely hear what Rajiv said, I was trying to hold back my own emotions in this moment! After the excitement and nerves of the proposal, we spent some time capturing their love and popping some bubbles of course!! Honestly I left there feeling like I just made 2 friends, chatting about when next we would meet up for another drink.
