A Cultural Wedding Celebration at Estate 101 in Trinidad

Aliya and Chike’s wedding at Estate 101 in Trinidad was one of those days where love and culture blended seamlessly. They brought so many of their loved ones to celebrate, and the setting at this lush venue gave everything such a warm, inviting atmosphere. From the moment guests arrived, the backyard ceremony already felt like something unique.

Estate 101 is a gem for weddings because of how much space and variety it offers. Aliya and Chike’s grand ceremony took place in the backyard, surrounded by greenery that felt both intimate and elegant. Afterward, we wandered into the gardens for portraits. Each corner seemed to hold a new backdrop that elevated their photos. As their photographer, I loved having that freedom to explore with them. It allowed me to capture not only posed shots but also candid moments in between.

A Stunning Mix of Cultures

One of the most beautiful parts of their wedding was the mix of cultures. Aliya is Trini, and Chike is Nigerian and Canadian, so the celebration naturally reflected who they are. Guests laughed, danced, and embraced every part of the day with open hearts. During the reception, Aliya and Chike changed into their traditional Nigerian attire, which brought even more energy to the dance floor. Everyone cheered when they made their entrance, and the joy in that moment felt contagious!

Dancing Under the Moonlight at Estate 101

The reception was outdoors under the moonlight, which gave the evening such a romantic feel. Music, laughter, and movement carried late into the night. Estate 101 set the perfect scene for this atmosphere since the open space allowed everyone to feel connected. As I photographed Aliya and Chike, I couldn’t help but notice how easygoing they were. That relaxed energy carried through every part of the day. It reminded me that the best photos come when couples feel fully present with each other, and these two did exactly that!
